It’s common for runners to struggle during the holidays and during the winter. The sun sets much earlier and it can be hard to stay motivated. The right virtual running events will help keep you on track with your training.

7 Upcoming Virtual Running Events to Consider

1. 2020 Gobble Til You Wobble Virtual Race

Offering multiple virtual races, the Gobble Til You Wobble event provides a running course for just about any level. Options from a simple one-mile run to a full marathon are available.

A percentage of the proceeds from the registration fees for this race will be donated to support Feeding America. the race is open from now until the end of 2020.

2. Big Island Relay

A unique virtual running event involving teams, the Big Island Relay features about 260 miles of total running. Teams will work together to complete the course in one month.

You’ll pass the virtual baton to the next teammate as you run your portion of the course. Teams consist of four runners and the race must be completed in November.

3. Give Thanks Virtual Race

Another Thanksgiving-themed virtual race, the Give Thanks Virtual Race offers courses from one-mile to a full marathon. Some of the proceeds will go to support The Global Orphan Project.

This race allows you to choose the course and it can be completed anytime in November 2020.

4. San Francisco Marathon & Half Marathon

An incredible virtual event to get involved in, the San Francisco Marathon & Half Marathon will use the Virtual 365 Real Time Live Race App. You’ll be able to follow along with the actual SF course while running your own course.

The Race will open up on Friday, November 13th, and stay open until Monday, November 16th. It will also be open on Friday, December 11th through Monday, December 14th.

5. Run For A Claus

A popular run going virtual this year, the Run For A Claus features a one-mile and a 5K course. You can choose your course and run virtually from anywhere you want. This race is available through December 2020.

6. Ultra Rail North Texas

If you’re looking for a longer run, the Ultra Rail North Texas virtual running event is a good choice. The course is 35 miles long and must be completed in less than 12 hours. This race will be available from December 4th to 6th.

7. Snow Drop Ultra Virtual 55

A unique running event for solo runners looking for a huge challenge, the Snow Drop Ultra Virtual 55 offers a great race option. This race requires runners to participate for 55 consecutive hours to see how far they can run.

Since it’s a virtual run, you can run on a treadmill, outside, alone, or with friends. Teams of up to 10 can also participate in this event.
